Day-01 : Arrive Delhi
Meet, assistance on arrival & transfer to hotel.
Overnight hotel.
Day-02 : Delhi - Haridwar Rishikesh
Early morning transfer to station to board train for
Haridwar departing at 0710 hrs and arriving at 1120
hrs. Meet at station and transfer to Rishikesh - 25
kms. Evening witness puja ceremomy at Triveni ghat.
Overnight hotel.
Day-03 : Rishikesh - Deo Prayag - 618 mts / 03 hrs
An enjoyable drive takes us through the forested Shivalik
foot hills to the junction of the Baghrathi & Alaknanda
rivers at Deo Prayag where the Ganges properly begins.

Day-04 : Deo Prayag - Debal - Mundoli
A great day of driving as we continue through the heart
of Garhwal country. Thr prayag's are the sacred
confluence's on the rivers that drain in to Ganges,
there are five in all and further on to valley. Shortely
before Gwaldam we turn of the main road to Debal - 1218
mts and drive up a switchback track to the road head
near Mundoli village - 2134 mts. Overnight camp
Trek Begins
Day-05 : Mundoli - Didina - 2515 mts /
06 hrs walk
We leave camp and walk to Lohajung Khal - 2350 mts,
a grassy ridge with excellent views of the surroundings
and our first glimps of a big peak Nanda Gunti - 6860
mts. After lunch a steady ascend brings us to Wan. Here
in the base of a massive deodar tree is an ancient shrine
devoted to Latu. Overnight camp.
Day-06 : Didina - Bedni Bugyal - 3420 mts / 05 hrs

After a brisk descent, the morning walk involves a long,
sometimes steep ascent along a good stone path through
shaddy forests of Oak and chestnuts. Another steady
climb takes us through rhododendrons forests, which
presents a beautiful show of white, pink and crimson
when in flower. We then move above the tree line through
springy turf and rock to reach the high grazing meadow
of Bedni Bugyal. It is said to be the one of the most
stunning alpine campsites in the Himalayas. Overnight
camp.
Day-07 : Bedni Bugyal - Kanol - 2750- mts / 07 hrs

We retrace our steps down from Bedni bugyal. After the
initial steep descent, we cut across through forests
and open ground to a lunch spot in a small meadow some
distance above Wan. A gradual ascend brings us to a
minor pass, the Kukin - Khal - 3120 mts. The after noon
walk brings us to a beautiful meadow above the village
of Kanol. Overnight camp.
Day-08 : Kanol - Sutol - 2150 mts / 05 hrs walk
An excellent day of walking through classic Garhwal
scenery. Beyond our campsite lies Kanol village, a traditional
Garhwali settlement with stone & slate houses and
excellent views of Trisul peak. From here a lengthy
descend takes us to the Nandakini river. In the
after noon a pleasant walk takes us on a broad cliff
path above the river to pine forest and further villages.
Near Sutol village. Here we cross Nandankini river on
a solid iron bridge and stop for the night on the right
bank. Overnight camp.
Day-09 : Sutol - Ramni - 2775 mts / 06 hrs walk
Our morning walk takes us up and out of the valley through
delightful villages were many social rituals and
annual events are still intimately linked to worship
of the "mother Godess". In the afternoon
an easy walk followed by steep climb takes us
to our campsite above Ramni village. From here there
are wonderful views . Overnight camp.
Day-10 : Ramni - Kalyaghat - 2450 mts / 06 hrs walk
A less demanding day due to the restricted choice of
campsites. A steady climb through forest brings us to
the top of the ridge known as Ramni pass - 3220 mts
with distant views of the Kuari pass that we cross in
a few days. This is ancient forest with splendid old
specimens of gnarled oak, holly, chestnut and rhododendrons
emerging from a thick carpet of white and pink flowering
peonies. We camp near Shim Kharak. Overnight camp.
Day-11 : Kalyaghat - Dhakwani - 3250 mts / 07 hrs walk
We continue through thick forest to the village of Jhenipani
- 1524 from where a steep descent takes us down the
wild Bireh ganga, a river. We cross river over suspension
bridge across the bridge is a steep ascend that follow
a zig zag path up the bare and eroded hillside. After
lunch we walk through forest & pastures takes us
to our Pana, the last village before the pass. Shortly
before the village we cut up to Kaliaghat, a small medow.

Day-12 : Dhakwani - Kuari pass - 3660 mts - Base -
3020 mts / 05 hrs walk
An early start for the pass in order to enjoy the splendorous
of sun rise on the Great Himalayas. The aescent that
takes less then two hours, following a zig zag path
to the pass but most impressive views are gained
from a point further along the Kuari ridge at
4270 mts. From here major peaks visible are Kamet -
7070 mts, Badrinath - 7040 mts, Dunagiri - 7066 mts,
Changabang - 6860 mts, Nilkanth - 6600 mts and Hathi
Parbat - 6730 mts. After savouring this superb panorama,
described by many as the best in the Himalayas.
We descend a little from the main ridge to our camp
below the pass. Overnight camp.
Day-13 : Base - Tapovan - Joshimath
Our last day of this magnificent as we follow a long
winding trail down hill to the road at Tapovan. Here
we join our transport and drive to Joshimath - 15 kms.
overnight rest house.
Day-14 : Joshimath - Rudra Prayag
After leisure breakfast we drive to Rudra Prayag "
The confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini rivers.
Overnight hotel / rest house.
Day-15 : Rudra Prayag - Haridwar
After breakfast we drive to Haridwar. Evening witness
the Puja ceremony at Har-Ki-Puari ghat. Overnight hotel.
Day-16 : Haridwar - Delhi
Morning we visit ghats again and there after drive to
Delhi. Afternoon free. Overnight hotel.
Day-17 : Delhi - Onward Destination
Morning combined city tour of Old & New Delhi. Farewell
dinner followed by departure transfer for onward destination.
